Welcome to Sei Camini!
Sei
Camini or "Six Chimneys" is a traditional Marchigiana Casa Colonica,
located in the heart of the
much sought after
‘Golden Triangle’ region of Le Marche, Italy.
This
area of outstanding natural beauty is just fifteen minutes from the
stunning Sibillini Mountains, yet it is less than an hour from the
sandy beaches of the Riviera Adriatica.
Sei
Camini offers spacious accomodation (450m2) over
two distinct self-contained properties connected by a loggia (communal
entrance hall). Properties can be rented separately if bookings allow.
The
properties will sleep up to 18 people in comfort: Casa
Grande sleeps 12 and Casa Piccola sleeps 6.
Recently
modernised yet retaining many original features, the houses are built
of honey coloured sandstone that reflects the Italian sun. This keeps
the inside cool during the balmy summer months yet insulates the
property during winter.
The
property is set in over 2 hectares of rolling meadows.
Deciduous
woodland (full of
delightful birdsong)
borders the property to the west.
From
June the fireflies, frogs and crickets will entertain you with their
very own 'Son et Lumière' show!
The
views to the north and south are across unspoilt hills and valleys and
at dawn, the hilltop villages of
Monte San Martino and Penna San Giovanni are silhouetted against the
long view of the Roman city of Fermo.
To
top it all, there is a wonderful swimming pool to keep cool during
those hot, lazy days.
The
swimming pool is in full sunshine all day, but wisteria covered
pergolas and mature willow trees, not to mention umbrellas, provide
welcome shade. The
pool slopes gently from Roman Steps, has a ledge for non swimmers and
is only deep in the centre.
Pool temperatures usually exceed 25°C during the summer months.
Sei
Camini commands an imposing position at just over 550m above sea level.
At night, the stars are breathtaking and the twinkling views of the
distant hill villages are best savoured with a chilled glass of local
verdicchio!
